Striving for Best Academic Practice This analysis will elaborate on the best practice approach that ought to be observed in the process of preparing a good case study of the first time. The best practice approach entails various characteristics that help to define it as shown in this paper. The best practice approach reflects the ideal individuals or institutions that one’s customers will relate to when they go through the case study of instance the case study involving Facebook Company (Rehnborg, 2007, 158). This will help individuals who are active on Facebook to feel comfortable in their social media industry, as the case study will reflect their specific needs. The best practice approach should vividly narrate the story one is communicating in a coherent manner. Individuals like reading good stories and people will understand the content in the case study if presented in an attractive way. A well-presented case study enables people to fathom the goals being discussed in the case study (Porter, 2011, 147). A good plot of the story enables the reader to identify the specific needs to be communicated in the case study and how those needs can help the reader attain his or her goals. It is pertinent to update the case study after a while in order to confirm to your customers that your services lead to a long- term benefit. The best practice approach should adopt a formatting style that is easy to read, as many people are not fond of reading huge text. To add taste to the formatting style in writing, some writing features ought to be included for example images, bulleted lists, headers and italicized words (Phillips, 2005, 162). A case study that utilizes these writing features helps individuals who are fond of skimming to grasp the vital information being communicated in a blink of an eye. This is of great importance as the reader can comprehend the basic notion and impression that can help him or her. In order to capture your intended target, case studies should incorporate the use of real numbers to solidify the intended meaning. It would convey a different weight in meaning to say that Facebook has steadily retained its success path where within its 15 months IPO, its average employees revenue returns was $ 1.3 million if real numbers were not included (Morris, 2013, 98). Real numbers create the real picture being depicted in the case study thereby enabling the intended target to grasp the impression communicated in the study. It is also pertinent to highlight some figures to improve on the clarity and to avoid ambiguity. The best practice approach should incorporate specific strategies undertaken to realize a particularly desired results. This means that the case study should reflect the exact strategies that led to a particular result (Woodside, 2010, 123). In the case study involving Facebook Company, one should communicate the exact figures that formed our capital instead of saying that huge amount of cash was used as capital. This is true because the case study provides the space where an individual sells his or her services and products and thereby it is good to indicate how you attained the desired results. Where stories seem to offer a better narration of the subject, the best practice approach may consider other different formats. One should evaluate the various types of formatting to get to the intended group. This follows understanding your intended target where other formatting styles such as interviewing may lead to better results as they ask relevant questions to specific individuals. Asking people questions using words will help an individual to acquire the required information in the shortest time possible from a large number of respondents. This might be useful where the target group is big such as in social media and in particular Facebook. The best practice approach should as much try to appeal to various individuals as people have varied preferences and tastes. One should take his or her text-based case studies and repurpose the message therein in order to reach different people. An individual may opt to confine his or her case study in the video where people with such preferences may be reached. Individuals targeted in Facebook Company may be presented with a video that clearly presents the case study in order to pass the intended content. Internet videos are the useful tool because the features presented on this internet vehicle can be shared to a large group of individuals. In this approach, organized case study enables the target group to reach the study with ease thus enabling many individuals to view the case study (Rehnborg, 2007, 101). In a case study involving Facebook Company, this will amass many advantages since many intended target group who are under Facebook would view the case study, and it is easy to communicate the intended idea when the case study is organized. The best practice approach should help develop a realistic and attainable expectation thereby enabling to solve the problem intended. Since the case study is customized to meet the specific goals, it should reflect its realistic aspects in order to avoid going out of the topic. This will help Facebook Company to address the issues raised in the case study. The best practice approach should be able to measure levels of engagement to the individuals reading the case study. The approach should have a well-defined platform that enables the person drafting the case study to measure the extent of engagement. Such element of engagement should involve the respondent views and all replies that reflect the understanding of the intended target group towards the content delivered by the case study. This helps the individual drafting the case study to identify the weakness and the strengths of the issues discussed in the study. In social media industry, respondent views form part of the major tool through which individuals communicates their feeling towards a particular circumstance. Facebook Company would greatly achieve its core mandate of enhancing interaction as it makes use of all platforms that measure engagement. To solidify this fact, numerous firm rates the Facebook Company number one for its core objective of satisfying its employees. Bibliography Morris, M. 2013.
